Team Sydney disapproves of SPAM.  In an effort to reduce the amount of SPAM reaching us and our members,
email addresses are shown only in plain text If you wish to contact a sports club, please go to their website or cut-and-paste/copy the email address below into your own mail client.

Never played but want to join in ?

Please contact clubs regarding training and participation in events. Clubs train a
nd play in events on a weekly basis at venues all over Sydney.

Want to get into a new sport or play in
  advertised events?

No, you are not too old to learn a new sport; most organising clubs cater for
players who wish to participate. It is okay to walk or jog in running events; swim
at your own pace and in your own age group; join a netball, volleyball, softball,
hockey, soccer or rugby / touch team; dance as a novice or advanced
participant, join in squash, table tennis, sailing, rowing, badminton or tennis; or
join in an amazing dive with the Scuba club!

Most importantly, Get Out and Play! NOW !

I work long hours and may not be able
to commit to regular sport. How can I
join a team with my work
  commitments?

Your work-life balance starts with reality. Adult sport caters for the needs of
adults. Your work life can be balanced with your sport; it is more important to
make the effort than to be there at every single event.
  What does it cost?
Team Sydney's member clubs are non-profit organisations run by volunteer
committees; costs cover the cost of conducting the events, keeping entry and
participation fees to an absolute minimum. Some events are free to enter, some
raise funds for charities, others have entry fees to cover the cost of trophies,
  venues and referees.

I am not gay or lesbian; does this
  mean I cannot play?

Equal opportunity and non discrimination policies ensure that all events are
open to all, regardless of age, ability, race, religion or sexuality. If you want to
play, be aware that many gay and lesbian sports people will enjoy events with
  you.

  I don’t have the equipment required -
do I need to bring racquets, balls or
  other equipment?

Member clubs aim to provide opportunities for all. They often have equipment
available for beginners; or players may loan you equipment for your participation.
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and at all times use sunscreen, hats
and Sun Safe practices for outdoor events.

LITTLE BLACK DRESS
(LBD) RUN
Saturday 14 Feb 2009 9:00 am

Paddington Gates - Centennial

Park, Cnr Oxford St,
Moore Park Rd

and Lang Rd, Paddington
Entry by donation.

While the Mardi Gras Fun Run is for runners that at least know how to breathe properly, the Little Black Dress Run is an event for everyone who wants to have even more fun! And raise some money for charity. And astound the strollers in Centennial Park! The LBD, as it is known, has become an internationally recognised giggle in a very good cause. Come and join Sydney Frontrunners and a host of their friends as they celebrate their annual fundraising fun run. The gentle jog around the park is approximately 5 kilometres and is more about being seen, having fun and dressing up rather than serious running. Every year Frontrunners sponsor a major charity and this year is no different. Little black cocktail numbers and heels, if you can manage them, will be all the go!
